Kai Ching Group, a manufacturer of colored painted steel sheets, held a ceremony today to celebrate the opening of its new factory in the Kaohsiung City Siaogang Industrial Park. Over 600 guests, including Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chu and Speaker Kang Yu-cheng, along with representatives from partner companies and their families, gathered to offer their congratulations. This marks the 47th anniversary of the Kai Ching Group and its fifth factory relocation. Chairman Chen Tseng-Szu-Hsin expressed his gratitude to upstream and downstream suppliers, banks, and employees for their continued support and vowed to lead Kai Ching into its second forty years.

In 1969, Chen Zhenchang and Chen Zeng Sixin founded Zhenshun Foundry, which was renamed Yixing Roller Door Material Factory four years later. In the early days of their business, they specialized in taking on projects that others wouldn't, and upheld the belief of "quality first, customer foremost." No matter how difficult the task, they maintained aesthetics and the best quality, and over time, they accumulated a good reputation in the industry. In 1977, they changed their name again to Kai Ching Industrial Company, specializing in painted steel sheets.

Unique color steel sheet production, zero pollution

Chen Zeng Sixin stated that with business expansion and upgrading, Kai Ching has introduced the most advanced computer system from Germany and coating technology from the United States, making the process and quality more stable. It has also added RTO waste recycling and calorific value reuse, turning the exhaust gas into energy, becoming a zero-pollution green industry.

Today, Kai Ching has a monthly production capacity of 20,000 tons, offering a diverse and varied range of products that are also more environmentally friendly, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. In particular, its color-coated steel sheets not only bring color to cold steel products but also allow for customized adjustments to colors and printing patterns. This diversified and differentiated product positioning has made Kai Ching a leader in the industry.

"The steel plates of ordinary electric roller doors are prone to rusting due to rain. Some manufacturers simply replace the bottom plate with stainless steel. However, stainless steel plates are almost always silver, making it difficult to match the color to the building's exterior." Chen Zeng Sixin discovered a new business opportunity by applying a paint finish to the stainless steel, creating a cohesive aesthetic. She proudly stated, "Even ordinary iron roller doors, if made with Kai Ching painted steel, are guaranteed not to rust or corrode for twenty years."

Thanks to the convergence of many forces, we are creating another 40 years.

Today, Kai Ching painted steel products have been used in the exterior of buildings such as Taipower's Linkou and Dalin power plants, Kaohsiung MRT Daliao Station, Taoyuan Airport MRT, Taoyuan Evergreen Air Freight Warehouse, and Costco hypermarkets. In the future, Chen Zeng Sixin hopes to expand into industries such as digital electronics, home appliances, automobiles, lighting, and medical care.

Having gone through 46 years, Chen Zeng Sixin expressed her gratitude to steel mills in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, such as Gaoxingchang, Yeh Hui, Sheng Yu, and China Steel, for providing high-quality raw materials. She also thanked customers like Tiancheng for their support and joint growth. "I also want to thank the employees for their dedication and the bank for their financial support, which allowed us to move from Daliao to Xiaogang and build such a great factory."

Looking to the future, Chen Zeng Sixin believes that "building a brand image" is the top priority. She said that long-term clients know that the products are good, but consumers who actually use the products may not know who the manufacturer is, even though they know that the products are durable and good-looking. Therefore, she hopes to strengthen marketing to consumers and enhance the brand and awareness of Kai Ching in their minds.
